All Stardust Ballet classes are taught to students of any ability and are conducted in a relaxed, friendly and inclusive atmosphere. We always welcome beginners.
Our younger dancers will be taught from a unique Stardust-created syllabus that has been created from reflecting on 10+ years experience teaching ballet to children in the Cambridge area.
We run themed ballet lessons that are fun and grounded in structure to ensure the children enjoy themselves and learn key ballet fundamentals.
Our Older Dancers
Our older dancers will follow an ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance) syllabus with optional class tests. Classes are taught by an ISTD qualified dance instructor.
Exams are not compulsory but give the children something to work towards and can provide a great sense of achievement outside of an academic setting.
As a parent with a child in a Ballet class at Stardust, you will need to ensure the following:
Your childs attends the classes
They are wearing appropriate clothes for dance / uniform
You remain on premises for younger dancers
They have water available to them
Students practice good hand-washing hygiene before class
For parents of all students except the youngest; at the start of a ballet lesson you will be invited to relax away from the structured class environment until the lesson has ended. If you are needed for any reason you may be invited into the class.

Our Fairytale Ballet® Little Stars class will introduce children to the beautiful world of Ballet using magical music and exciting props.
To keep our classes fresh and exciting for little ones we follow a specially developed syllabus exploring a different theme every 6 weeks. Examples of some of our most popular themes are "Fairy Magic" "Teddy Bears Picnic" and "Butterflies & Bugs" After completing each theme the children receive a special certificate.
We have found that this class is fantastic for improving children's confidence, co-ordination and musicality in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It is also great for preparing children for a school environment as they will learn to listen to a teacher, follow instructions, share and learn to work with others all while making new friends and having lots of fun!
Parents/careers are invited to join in with their child's class to ensure they get maximum enjoyment out of the class.
Once your child is 3+ and is confident and independent enough to attend classes without their parent/carer they might be ready for our next class up - Fairytale Ballet - for ages 3-6!

FAIRYTALE BALLET®
For ages 3-6
Fairytale Ballet® follows a specially designed syllabus for boys and girls aged 3-6 created by our very own Miss Hannah! These classes will introduce them to the beautiful world of Ballet exploring fairy tales and the music and characters they include. Our classes include themed music, props, exciting storytelling and creative dance; all used to help improve children's confidence, co-ordination and musicality in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
To keep our classes exciting we will explore a different Fairytale or story every half-term with printable colouring pages and certificates at the end for all children. This gives the children a sense of achievement and the children love collecting their certificates!
After attending our Fairytale Ballet® classes children are invited to join one of our Ballet classes following the ISTD syllabus as the next step in their Ballet journey.

ISTD BALLET
For ages 6+
Many positive benefits are associated with learning the art of Ballet besides learning the traditional technique. Ballet teaches skill, grace, poise, self discipline and self confidence. Ballet lessons can also foster a positive self image in students of all ages.
We follow the ISTD Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance syllabus where class tests can be taken from 5 years of age starting with the Pre-Primary class test. Exams are not compulsory but give the children something to work towards and can provide a great sense of achievement outside of an academic setting.
All of our Ballet classes are taught in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and we always welcome beginners.

WHEN & WHERE?
ATTEND A BALLET CLASS
Registration is easy! Sign up to our Parent Portal, add you and your child's information and you'll be able to select appropriate classes for them. You can pay online by card, and you will secure a place once payment has been processed online.
Our Ballet classes can fill up fast, if you find they're full then please add yourself to the waitlist 😊
